I met a girl today evening.
It was just like any other day when I took Pegasus out for a spin. After sometime, I got a call from from a girl in my class and she told me to drop by a place somewhat near to my hostel. She called me since she were near my place and thought I’d be around. It was 5 pm in the evening, so I turned around and went to the mall where she said she will be waiting. I parked Pegasus and looked around for them before I called back. There were three of them. Two were my best girl-friends and the third, was someone I never saw before.
We talked for sometime and the first two said they had to get back to the hostel and left me with the new girl. We talked for sometime and since we were there, we decided to get a drink. We talked over the drink and the conversation went on for hours. I checked my watch and it was around 7:30. She sounded like a nut case from the beginning and I wasn’t much interested in talking to her. then we moved on to the topic of religion and guess what? She is an Atheist. Then my mood changed and I actually wanted to talk more. It is so hard to find an Atheist girl around here. She is a Srilankan. She is in my college but doing a different course.
Thats when I started to officially “check her out”. She was my shoulder high. Thin. She had her hair all over her face, black mascara or something that gave her a biker chick look, black rimmed glasses, purple Tshirt, blue jeans, and purple hand bag. And through all the messed up appearance, I could see that she had a cute face. She wasn’t that flirtatious, but she was, a bit. Another thing was that she gave a “Let’s get lost together” look and she wasn’t too protective of her with a stranger. Definitely Punk!! except that she had only two piercings and not colored hair. It was like jackpot for me. Since, I’m punk and Atheist myself. The rest of the conversation got more interesting as time went by. I tried not to show much of my curiosity and acted the role of a listener. As I said, she was looking like a nut case. She has many things bottled up in her little head. She was not herself today, as she herself said. And she kept saying things like, “I can’t believe I’m out here with a stranger” but I replied most of them like a smart ass, “There is a first time for everything”. Anyhow, she was fun. She reminded me of this punk song by Avril.
We had a nice dinner together and at around 8:30 or something and I left her at her hostel.
It felt great as I rode back home alone with Pegasus, thinking if my friends had planned this or not.
