I ended my last blog entry saying “I’ll be back when life gets some crackers going on“; well, October has just ended & I have just that!! No, I’m not talking about the Divali festival. I’m talking about the Quanta07.
Yup! CounterStrike1.6! A team of five (me included) lead by my friend “DoHax” as we call him, from our department participated in the Quanta07 Gaming showdown at a place near our college and I’m glad to inform you all that we have advanced to Stage II, which will be held tomorrow. We were leading by SEVEN to ZERO. The terrorists didn’t have a chance against us (we had a minor advantage that they were n00bs).
I’m Chimaera (I just run around the place with a Craig 550 rifle shooting everything that comes my way), Then we have Deathy, (man! you should see him on headshots!), Slasher (specializing on ambush), he is backup for The Mackhot (or however its spelled), I don’t even know what he is doing, but he is good at it. And last but not least, the leader of our clan DoHax (he flashes grenades and snipes at the same time). We took out the terrorists in all seven games in under 10 minutes. You should have seen them dropping dead like sitting ducks! screaming, “I’m dead” one by one in their stations next to us, as we took ‘em all out with around a couple seconds between each kill. After the match, our next mission was a Sify Game Drome, a couple miles away where practiced CounterStrike ConditionZero amongst ourselves. After a couple of hours at the gaming center, we went our own ways. Regrouping at rendezvous point at 00:10hours for deep briefing tomorrow…

Back to reality, I forgot to tell you about the tryouts for the Inter College athletic meet I mentioned a blog back. All my efforts for the dash didn’t pay. I just wasn’t quick enough. Only three were selected for representing the college. I’ve to work more on my thighs’ because my feet leaves the ground a little bit too slow (at least thats what our physical education teacher said). Then he tried to raise my spirits by adding, “Your technique and posture was perfect. At least you finished 5th“. & Oh!! they haven’t caught the leopard yet, its still roaming free somewhere around here. Instead, I decided to practice on a treadmill, before it “meats” me…...

It was all fun & no work during my long absence from the blog world in October, I was writing for my first ever internal exams in engineering. I never really prepared for the tests & not to mention that I sucked in all my papers! I’ll be back with my marks as the results start coming (I don’t think I’ll pass in any paper). I’ve to concentrate more on my studies otherwise I’ll flunk in the 2nd internals thats coming up in TWENTY DAYS!! & will have to face an year back. oh boy, I’ll be toast….

Angeline & Evelyn returned from Kerala with Mom a few days ago, & things are still not looking well between me and her. At least she will leave on a flight to Bahrain scheduled for this 8th. We are also planning on a trip to WonderLa’ , one of the biggest amusement parks in south India, day after tomorrow.
I’ll be back when I get to catch my breath or when I loose my breath when the mark list comes in.
Chimaera over & out =]
