Oh my god! (if he exists), the Inter-college Athletics Meet is going to be held in TEN DAYS & I’m in terrible shape! I haven’t worked out in almost a year. I started to practice running a few days back and things are not looking that great for my calf’s & thighs’. Let me get to the story of the day, I received a call from my sister yesterday morning (when I got back) that a nursing leopard & her cub has managed to get lose from the National Park in my area a couple days ago!!!
I decided to take a look at the newspaper (for the first time in months) & it had a picture of the big cat and the Leo facts section said; “Leopards like to hunt during late & EARLY hours of the day” & that line scared the living hell out of me! I run daily for about a maximum of 4 kilometers starting from 5.30 in THE MORNING! (not to mention that my sister has forbidden me from running from yesterday). There had been sightings of the big cat in a village nearby on Sept 24 (I ran close to that place yesterday). I hope the Park Authorities manage to catch that cat before it catches an unsuspecting jogger.
However, I cannot sit in my hostel room or work in the gym next to our place. I love to go out into the morning fresh air and feel the terrain under my shoes. I really need to focus on my speed and stamina for the next 10 days if I’m to pass at least the semi finals. What I lack in size, I make up in speed. I can’t let this cat make me loose my game. It took some really strong deliberation & guts to start running today. The thought of a stalking big cat is always on the back of my mind, but once I start to run, I just can’t stop till I get enough. Then again, I can’t stop practicing because if I do, I’m gonna end up really strong pains and muscles unwilling to work for days.
Anyhow, I’m literally running with leopards in Bangalore city. Hope you all are having fun. Peace out.
.:Notice To Readers:.
I have assigned someone to let you know if I meet the leopard or if the leopard meats me. =]
