Today is deviantART.com’s 7th birthday! & I’m not going!

It was during a long weekend, with a rather bad fever, before August 7, 2000 that deviantART was born. deviantART was coded from the ground up by a Yellow Alien from Japan called Jark, in its entirety, throughout this hot summer weekend.
Slowly but surely the site took off. In what they like to refer to as “the early days” Matt and Jark (the founders) would comment on every single piece of art that was submitted to the site. It was easy to do and they really enjoyed leading by example. It survived many things on its way up to the top.
I’m not very good in politics and diplomatic drama, but the Co-founder of one of the most highly trafficked websites ever, was dethroned. Jark’s greatest achievement was stolen from him by those who run deviantART today. It is now run by people who do not have artistic morals in mind, & is managed by a team that is not interested in honest and frank communication with their audience, The leaders never truly care and listen to the complaints but automatically act dismissive.
Jark’s deviantART page now stands like a tombstone of the only one ever to love Art & not the money. With a grim reminder of the now ugly faces behind the beautiful ART website. His page is tagged “subscribed till hell freezes over”, I wonder if Jark even gives a shit about DA & these backstabbers anymore.
For more information on this, visit Jark’s website and read, The Involuntary Termination of The Alien.
