You may look at this man with hate and anger. But you have to agree that not everyone has the same out look. This is to a person I have never seen, never spoke to or never shook hands with.
Saddam Hussein, the former president of Iraq was executed just before New Year 2007, (30th Dec,2006). Following the judgment of the puppet-court. This extreme inhuman act of America has given a label to the American people simply by the act of a president. A label that the Americans don’t care about anyone else’s feelings. I agree that HE has killed many innocent people but one has to do certain things when he is running a country. Its sad a leader has to answer for everything that happens under HIS country’s jurisdiction. I don’t know the deep details of the diplomatic drama which lead to the an unbalanced war of US against Iraq, which took thousands of lives and still counting. But this much, that the invading actually took place with the excuse that, Iraq is having weapons of mass destruction (why don’t you come to India! We got tons of nukes!) and also a great “good deed” that the Americans “helped” the Iraqi people to have a constitution and dethrone a dictator and payed huge prices on both sides. Now you send more troops for murdering more innocent people. What the f!#*&!! is your problem, man? (Pointed at bush and rest of those who caused this inhuman act).
Followed by a war, which proved that such an allegation was of no grounds. By then, the American troops had killed such huge number of civilians. The world witnessed the most cruel treatment of war prisoners through the media. A war for Oil, and Wealth. US has crossed all limits of humanity, and for terrorism Osama still smiles at US. Why kill your own people for no god damn reason? I believe that all people are equal. I love everybody. I don’t support murder of ANY kind.
A peaceful country (in Arab standards) is now a target practice arena. I see violence in my own streets. I got friends on both sides. I respect my Muslim brothers on both sides. My gang would be the only one here to have boys from both sides. Believe me when I say, they just killed the leader of the good side (open your eyes, look at the rest of the Arab countries, which side is suffering more? which side has the kings on?). This can happen to Pakistan , Iran and Syria. They just made a huge gap between 2 brothers. We will see more bloodshed, more people will die. Iraq has seen its last sunrise of hope. More children will be slaughtered, more woman raped, more men tortured. This war caused more deaths than Saddam could ever dream off. They just killed one who stood up for the minority. One who lived up with the one goal he had, to defend his people. To bring peace, to unite his country. And certain obstacles had to be removed. But that has nothing to do with a country which is 10000miles away. Helping in the name of compassion? ha!
Being in Bahrain allowed me to see more videos, none on TV, we all saw that. I got some from my friend’s cell phones, things spread fast in these days. There is more to the story. Why don’t I blog it? Why were they after the person(s) who recorded it?
I asked my friend, “I told you everything about me, What was the one thing you didn’t want to hear?” My friend replied, “Your words that you support Saddam”. But this friend didn’t remove me from the friend list, unlike the rest of those who told me “When I removed you, I removed Saddam from my life” - HA! I added one of them back as my thank you for things that friend has done for me. I May Forgive, But I Do Not Forget. I repay for everything, both good and bad. I lost friends one by one, they don’t deserve to be called my friends anymore. I use the term because I do not wish to disclose any names. My friend list got cut in half in mere 24 hours, I don’t care. They were not friends to begin with anyway. One of my American friends said “We got peace here, that’s all I care” - Of all people, I never expected it from my carefully chosen friends. They appreciated my love for people, but they never had any. So it ended up on loosing 14 friends on New Year. Then more left me when I blogged the Atheist Christmas Part 1, And some apologized when I reached Part 3. “You should have known better about me” I don’t care about those sods. I thank my friends who stood by me even though they disagreed with me. Lets see how many I loose today. I’m not waiting for an argument, I have much better things to do and so many other problems to cope with.
Indians know what all happened in India on the day they murdered him. We got respect for a man we never saw, and maybe it has our thank you involving the INA?. I saw the world celebrate new year, I saw everyone forget the event that took place a day before. They all acted like silly 8 year old girls. I was how ever refusing to be happy, I had nothing to be happy. I’m a man. and I stand by my decisions. I wish I could be brave like a man who did not even fear death.
Its futile to change someone else’s perspective, SO I’m not saying anything to change yours. So, don’t try to change mine by comments. I’ll delete them at my interests without looking at your screen names or avtars. A new generation is waiting for revenge. I wish to see that day before I die. The entire point in this blog entry is to say the following words. I don’t agree completely with the deaths he caused, but I respect so many other things about him. We are all people who live in this world, we have done bad things. But Saddam has at least done more good than most of us. More than me, anyway. You forget to see that part when blinded by fury.
They may take you away from this world, You stay alive in our hearts.
I saw a man who did not even fear death.
I Salute the Martyr
